PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make vibration such as wobbling of an image pickup element hard to transmit to a user in an imaging device such as a camera including an interchangeable photographing lens. SOLUTION: This imaging device includes the image pickup element 102, a driving means and an elastic support means 221. The driving means includes a first electromagnetic field generating part 222 fixed to the image pickup element 102, and a second electromagnetic field generating part 219 opposite to the first electromagnetic field generating part at a distance. The elastic support means elastically supports the second magnetic field generating part on a device casing part 201 movably in the direction of a photographing optical axis. The image pickup element 102 is capable of moving along the direction of the photographing optical axis by interaction of a magnetic field or an electric field from the first electromagnetic field generating part and a magnetic field or an electric field from the second electromagnetic field generating part.
