PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image having proper brightness by correcting blur of an image captured using an auxiliary light source. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus having an auxiliary light source determines a light emitting pattern which shows on/off of light emission in an auxiliary light source by 1/0, as shown in (a), based on imaging conditions so that a corrected image has proper brightness. The imaging apparatus emits light from the auxiliary light source for imaging, according to the light emitting pattern, and obtains a photographic image and information on blur at the time of imaging. Based on the blur information and the light emitting pattern, blur of the image is corrected. Furthermore, the light emitting pattern, as shown in (b), is set so that frequency characteristics in the result of calculating a point spread function may include only non-zero values.
