PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thick acrylic rubber open cell article, excellent in oil resistance, heat resistance and weatherability. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the acrylic rubber open cell article, 1-5 pts.wt. of a crosslinking agent, 5-30 pts.wt. of a foaming agent, 50-100 pts.wt. of foaming auxiliaries, carbon black and a filler are added/kneaded based on 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic rubber, it is filled in a closed metal die and the pressure is removed after heating under pressurization, and the foamed article is removed. Thereafter, it is heated under ordinary pressure to obtain the foamed article, and the obtained foamed article is post-crosslinked at 150-170°C.
