<p>An aerosol with a metered dose tilt valve comprising a valve stem (12) with an inlet (28) and an outlet (24); there being a fluid pathway between said reservoir, said valve stem (12) and said valve housing (10); the valve stem outlet (24) being substantially distal from the reservoir and outside the valve housing (10), and a sealing means (22) at the other end of the stem inside the housing, the valve housing (10) being provided with an internal volume corresponding to the dose of fluid to be sprayed, the housing (10) being further provided with guide means to restrict the directional movement of the valve stem (12) between a first position when the sealing means (22) does not close the valve housing inlet (14) and a second position where the valve stem (12) has been tilted and the sealing means (22) positioned in sealing engagement with the vaive housing inlet (14) to close the fluid pathway between said reservoir and said valve housing (10); and wherein the valve stem inlet (28) is sealed closed against a resilient grommet (18) in the first position and which is spaced from said grommet (18) in the second position.</p> |
