The invention relates to a method for the treatment of a gaseous effluent, comprising the partial solidification of an intermediate fluid by heat exchange with liquid nitrogen in order to form a partially solidified intermediate fluid. The method also includes a heat exchange between the gaseous effluent and the partially solidified intermediate fluid in order to obtain a partially condensed gaseous effluent comprising a gas phase and a condensate.
