COLOR FILTER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter excellent in reliability and display performance, which prevents electric characteristics of a protective layer of the color filter from adversely influencing alignment of liquid crystal and switching performance in a PVA system liquid crystal display device, and to provide a liquid crystal display device using the same.

SOLUTION: The color filter is constituted by successively layering at least a coloring pixel, a protective film and a transparent electrode on a transparent substrate, and has a cut pattern for controlling alignment of liquid crystal on the transparent electrode on the coloring pixel, wherein volume resistivity of the protective film is 1×1015Ωm or more, and a relative dielectric constant of the protective film is 4.0 or less within 20 to 100 Hz frequency, and a dielectric loss tangent (tanδ) of the protective film is 0.010 or less within 20 to 100 Hz frequency.
