PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts by supporting a duct, a wire, or the like by a stay for supporting an oil level gauge guide, in an internal combustion engine mounted with the stay for supporting the oil level gauge guide in an engine body including a crankcase and a crankcase cover covering one side of the crankcase and fastened to the crankcase with mounting bolts. SOLUTION: In this internal combustion engine, the stay 28 for supporting the oil level gauge guide is mounted in the engine body including the crankcase for rotatably supporting a crankshaft and the crankcase cover covering the one side of the crankcase and fastened to the crankcase with the mounting bolts.
