PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable acquisition of data for predicting a tendency toward deterioration by remotely monitoring voltage required for an ignition plug, increasing along with a secular change. SOLUTION: A remote monitor device for the operating condition of an engine includes: a voltage sensor 2 externally provided to an ignition plug cord 11 connected to an ignition device for each ignition plug 10; and a remote monitoring section communicating data on voltage required for the ignition plug, obtained from each voltage sensor, to a remote monitoring center.
