PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a travel lane line by preventing the detection error of the travel lane line from being increased. SOLUTION: A travel lane line detector 10 is provided with: a filter processing part 22 for generating a low contrast image by the convolution operation of a pixel value using a kernel having a size which is equivalent to the predetermined dimension of a travel lane line on a travel route corresponding to a distance from a vehicle with respect to image data (original image) output from an in-vehicle camera 11; and a travel lane line detection part 25 for detecting a travel lane line on the basis of a difference between the image data (original image) and the low contrast image. The filter processing part 22 is provided with: a first filter processing part 31 for generating a first low contrast image by using a first kernel with a position displaced only by a prescribed distance from the position of a point under consideration set by a point-under-consideration setting part 21 in a first direction as a central position; and a second filter processing part 32 for generating a second low contrast image by using a second kernel with a position displaced only by a prescribed distance from the position of the point under consideration in a second direction as a central position.
