<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting the astringent taste of an astringent component-containing composition through addition of an effective dose of an astringent taste inhibitor effectively inhibiting unpleasant astringent taste. <P>SOLUTION: This astringent taste inhibitor includes as an active ingredient, grapefruit cold press oil comprising oil obtained by squeezing oil from the fruit skin of grapefruit at ≤30°C by a mechanical method. Palatability is increased by suppressing the astringent taste of beverage such as green tea, oolong tea, black tea and coffee containing polyphenol as an astringent component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
