<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a configuration for generating a frequency signal for frequency conversion when performing frequency conversion of a plurality of RF signals of the same frequency to optically transmit the resultant RF signals. <P>SOLUTION: M pieces of RF signals of the same frequency are input to a mixer (12) from an input terminal (10). A local oscillator (14) oscillates at a reference frequency f<SB>LO</SB>. A nonlinear amplifier (16), a limiter amplifier (18) and a BPF (20) generate frequency signals of mutual different frequencies f<SB>LO</SB>to (M-1)f<SB>LO</SB>for frequency conversion in the mixer (12). A BPF (22) extracts an RF signal component on a low frequency side from an output of a corresponding mixer (12). A multiplexer (28) frequency-multiplexes an RF signal subjected to frequency conversion and a reference frequency signal of the reference frequency f<SB>LO</SB>. An electro-optical converter (30) converts a subcarrier multiplex output of the multiplexer (28) into an electric signal.
