BINDER COMPOSITION FOR ELECTRODE, SLURRY COMPOSITION FOR ELECTRODE, ELECTRODE AND BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder composition for an electrode, allowing stable manufacturing of a battery with high capacity retention rate even when the manufacturing process is speeded up or the roll length of a current collector is extended; and to provide a slurry composition for the electrode, an electrode and a battery using the binder composition for electrode.

SOLUTION: In the binder composition for electrode, the concentration of coarse particles and/or aggregate with a spherical volume-corresponding diameter of particles measured by the Coulter method of 3 μm or more is 2,000 ppm or less. The slurry composition contains the binder composition for the electrode and an electrode active material. The slurry composition for the electrode is applied to a current collector followed by drying, whereby the electrode is obtained.
