<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the position of a belt unit with respect to a moving direction of a belt. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a belt driving gear 91 which is engaged with a driving roller gear 51C to transmit a driving force to a driving roller 51; a photoreceptor drum 43 which is configured to rotate while contacting the belt (conveying belt 53); and a positioning section (abutting section 92B) provided in the apparatus body and configured to contact a portion of the belt unit 50 to position the belt unit 50 with respect to a moving direction of the belt. The positioning section is configured to contact the portion of the belt unit 50 in a direction of receiving a force with which the photoreceptor drum 43 is pressing the belt unit 50. The belt driving gear 91 is engaged with the driving roller gear 51C in an array that has a component in which a force pressing the belt unit 50 via the driving roller gear 51C presses the belt unit 50 against the positioning section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
