CARBOXYL GROUP-CONTAINING RADICAL POLYMERIZABLE COPOLYMER AND PHOTOSENSITIVE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carboxyl group-containing radical polymerizable copolymer which gives a cured product excellent in heat decomposition resistance and the like and excels in photocurability and alkali developability, and a photosensitive resin composition.

SOLUTION: The carboxyl group-containing radical polymerizable copolymer is synthesized without using a polybasic acid anhydride and has a radical polymerizable double bond formed by reacting a monomer having one functional group capable of reacting with a carboxyl group and one radical polymerizable double bond in the molecule with carboxyl groups bonded to the main chain and a chain-extended carboxyl group obtained by reacting a lactone of a five- or more-membered ring with the remaining carboxyl groups bonded to the main chain.
