PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a processing means to transit to a second state in a period of time shorter than that for restart, even in the event of trouble when the processing means is caused to transit from a first state where it becomes operable as power is supplied to the second state where it becomes inoperable as power supply is restricted. SOLUTION: A CPU 30 is configured to be able to transit from a first state where it becomes operable as power is supplied to a second state where it becomes inoperable as power supply is restricted. The CPU 30 executes a first process required for such transition before transition from the first state to the second state, and executes a second process to output a first signal after executing the first process. A timer IC 38 outputs a second signal to an ASIC 34 for causing the CPU 30 to transit to the second state when receiving a first signal output from the CPU 30, and outputs the second signal to an ASIC 34 when not receiving the first signal output from the CPU 30 within a predetermined time period after a predetermined time after the first process starts.
