PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building with a drying room for naturally drying an article to be dried such as laundry. SOLUTION: The drying room 18 is installed between an entrance dirt floor 7 and an entrance hall, and a loft 22 which is provided in an attic. A grating panel 31 with translucency and air permeability, which also serves as a ceiling of the entrance dirt floor 7, a ceiling of the entrance hall and a floor of the drying room 18, is provided between the entrance dirt floor 7 and the entrance hall, and the drying room 18. The grating panel 31 with the translucency and the air permeability, which also serves as a ceiling of the drying room 18 and a floor of the loft 22, is provided between the drying room 18 and the loft 22. Thus, daylighting can be performed in the drying room 18 from the side of the loft 22. Additionally, natural drying of an article to be dried can be performed in the drying room 18 by providing ventilation between the loft 22, and the entrance dirt floor 7 and the entrance hall via the drying room 18.
