PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric component containing a polyamide composition excellent in heat resistance, fluidity, toughness, and rigidity, low in water absorption properties, and excellent also in flame retardancy. SOLUTION: This invention relates to an electric component containing a polyamide composition containing (A) a polyamide prepared by polymerizing (a) a dicarboxylic acid containing at least 50 mol% 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and (b) a diamine containing over 50 mol% 1,9-nonanediamine and (B) a flame retardant.
