PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device with a contact mechanism capable of ensuring a contact gap corresponding to large current in a saved space, and capable of protection against electric shock even when basic insulation is destroyed. SOLUTION: A tilting shaft 10b is rotated as a lever 10 is operated, and, in accordance with the rotation, a movable contact piece 1 is rotated as a first movable contact piece cover 2 insertion-coupled with the tilting shaft 10b is rotated to carry out contacting and separation of terminals 6.
