PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evacuation ladder device which can obtain significant miniaturization and simple handleability in a stored state and which can sufficiently secure safety in an extending use state. SOLUTION: The evacuation ladder device is provided with an extendable ladder body 2 which is constituted by connecting a plurality of basic members 7 consisting of a pair of cylindrical support bodies 11 parallel with each other and a lateral frame body 12 one by one so that each of the cylindrical support bodies 11 can slide and by achieving the switching between a contracting storing state and an extending using state, an extension speed control means 3 which can control the extension speed when it is switched to the extension using state by gravity when the ladder body 2 in the contracting storing state is brought to a vertical or a nearly vertical attitude, an engagement implement 4 attached to the basic member 7a in the uppermost part which can be engaged with the projected fixed part 27 of a building such as a window frame, an extension handrail member 5 stored in the cylindrical support body 11a of the basic member 7a in the uppermost part so that it can be pulled out upward, and a lock mechanism 6 which can fix the extension handrail member 5 on the cylindrical support body 11 in a state where it has been pulled out upward and release the fixation.
