PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label forming apparatus which can meet rolls of arbitrary widths. SOLUTION: In the label forming apparatus 1 which produces a print label by performing desired printing to a printing tape 3A drawn out from the roll 3 in which the printing tape 3A is wound in a roll form, a guide member 20 is set to be movable back and forth along a width direction of the roll 3 to a fixed wall part 4A. The guide member 20 is advanced and retreated according to the width of the housed roll 3 and is adjusted in position. For the roll 3 of an arbitrary width, a drawing direction of the printing tape 3A can be guided by holding the roll 3 between the fixed wall part 4A and the guide member 20.
