PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow each of two radio communication apparatuses to store identification information of an apparatus to be connected, to facilitate mutual authentication, without connecting the radio communication apparatuses for exchanging the identification information. SOLUTION: A radio communication system prepares a radio transmitter 2 connected to a content output device 1 and a radio receiver 3 connected to a display device 4. The content output from the content output device 1 is output to a display device 4 by establishing radio communication between the radio transmitter 2 and the radio receiver 3. The radio transmitter 2 acquires the identification information from the content output device 1 and stores it, and the radio receiver 3 acquires the same identification information as the identification information acquired by the radio transmitter 2 from the display device 4, and stores it. And, the radio transmitter 2 and the radio receiver 3 perform mutual authentication using the identification information stored in the devices, and then perform radio transmission of the content.
