PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system maintaining a VPN connection even when a certain network adapter is changed over to another one in VPN communication on the certain network adapter. SOLUTION: A client device 100 has: a virtual I/F controller 103 adding a first header containing private network information to a transmitting frame over VPN communication; and a physical I/F controller 105 transmitting a packet encapsulated by adding a second header containing global network information to the frame adding the first header to a server device 200. Then, the server device extracts the private network information contained in the first header from the received packet, compares the private network information with the private network information of the packet received before the packet and does not cut the VPN communication when the private network information is not changed.
