PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water supply system eliminating waste use of combustion energy and discharge of low temperature water initially during use of hot water supply. SOLUTION: The hot water supply system A1 includes a water heater 10 having a gas-liquid type heat exchanger 11, a water plug unit 30 and a control part 40. The water plug unit 30 includes a three-way valve 31, a hot water supply temperature sensor 35, a faucet 36 and a faucet opening sensor 37. An input port 32 of the three-way valve 31 is connected to downstream side piping 14 of the gas-liquid type heat exchanger 11, a first output port 33 is connected to upstream side piping 13 of the gas-liquid type heat exchanger 11 via a hot water supply circulating pump 21 and a check valve 22, and a second output port 34 is connected to the faucet 36 side. The hot water supply temperature sensor 35 is mounted to the input port 32 side. When a temperature t of the hot water supply temperature sensor 35 is lower than a set temperature T, the control part 40 operates the hot water supply circulating pump 21 and switches the three-way valve 31 so that the input port 32 is connected to the first output port 33.
