PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cleaning a die head for coating which is capable of cleaning a coating liquid deposited on the tip inclined side surface of the die head for coating in a short time and is used with low running cost. SOLUTION: The apparatus for cleaning the die head for coating which is used to remove the coating liquid deposited on the tip inclined side surface of the die head for coating for discharging and applying the coating liquid from a slit comprises a cleaning roll capable of holding a cleaning liquid, a cleaning liquid supply part for supplying the cleaning liquid to the cleaning roll and a moving mechanism for relatively moving the cleaning roll and the die head for coating so that the cleaning roll is contacted to the tip inclined side surface of the coating die head.
