PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather without risk that water intrudes into a device such as an automatic transmission even in the environment wherein the inside of a hood of a vehicle is submerged. SOLUTION: This breather adjusts the internal pressure inside of a case by performing exhaust to the outside when the internal pressure inside of the case becomes high, exceeding a predetermined pressure, and includes an exhaust passage formed from the inside of the case to the outside. A float valve is arranged outside of the exhaust passage to close the exhaust passage with buoyancy thereof when the outside is submerged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
