The system (T) has operating units vertically arranged in sieving, base sorting, fine sorting, secondary crushing and precrushing- and collecting levels (A-E). The unit in the sieving level diverts components from an input material flow and/or unsorted residue flow, where the components are transferred to one of the remaining levels and/or a base level (G). The units in the base and fine sorting and secondary crushing levels cause separation and/or further processing of the components, where the components and/or residue flow are separated by the unit in the precrushing- and collecting level. The operating units are sieving drum, coarse grain-, medium grain- and fine grain-metal separators e.g. ferrous metal separators and non-ferrous metal separators, coarse grain-, medium grain- and fine grain-air separators, sorting unit, near-infrared sorter, secondary crushing device, baling device, palletizing unit, briquetting unit, master display and energy distribution system.
