PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary washing device capable of automatically performing drainage while suppressing the upsizing of the device and the need for a high cost. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this sanitary washing device includes: a water discharge nozzle which emits a jet of water from a spout; a channel which leads water, supplied from a water supply source, to the water discharge nozzle; a normal open-type electromagnetic valve which controls the passage of the water through the channel, and which is put into an opened stage to enable the passage of the water through the channel, when the supply of electric power from an external power source is stopped; a hot water storage tank which is provided midway through the channel so as to heat the water by a heater; a vacuum breaker which is provided in the channel on a downstream side with respect to the hot water storage tank; and a control portion which performs control for closing the electromagnetic valve when the supply of the electric power from the external power source is started.
