<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce inconvenience to a driver due to frequent notifications since notification is issued to a driver for each moving object having a possibility of collision. <P>SOLUTION: Objects around a vehicle are detected. Among the detected objects, a moving object approaching a travel route is determined. In a case where the determined moving object is determined to have a possibility of collision with the vehicle, a travel safety device for notifying a driver of an own vehicle is provided. When there is a plurality of determined moving objects, the plurality of moving objects are organized to groups in the number smaller than or equal to the number of moving objects, and the possibility of collision is determined for each of the organized groups. The notification is performed only once for each of the respective groups determined to have the possibility of collision. Thus, even when there is a plurality of moving objects approaching the own vehicle, the notification is issued to a driver for each group of the moving objects, so that inconvenience can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
