PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time in a solid state imaging device of pixel sharing. SOLUTION: A reference signal comparison type A/D conversion by a reference signal generation section 27, a comparator 322 and a counting section 352 is performed. At the time, which of pixel signal voltages Vx supplied through a plurality of vertical signal lines 19 is to be processed, which of P phase or D phase of each pixel signal voltages Vx is to be processed, and processing order of them, are controlled. This allows to perform signal processing at a signal processing timing different than in a case for non-sharing configuration. For example, it allows to control such that the A/D conversion is performed in order of combinations of levels with similar meanings of each processing signal. Also the A/D conversion of addition in sharing basis can be performed.
