PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle navigation device which enables own vehicle to reach a destination, without fail, and prevents wasteful refueling. SOLUTION: In the on-vehicle navigation device includes an input means for inputting the destination; a current-position detection means for detecting a current position; a map storage means for storing map information; a route search means for searching for a route from the current position to the destination; and a display means for displaying the searched route together with the map information, the navigation device further includes a remaining amount detection means for detecting the remaining amount of fuel for causing the vehicle to travel; a determination means for calculating the required amount of fuel necessary for the vehicle, to travel the searched route from the fuel efficiency of the vehicle and the searched route, and determining whether the vehicle can reach the destination, based on the remaining amount and the necessary amount; and a switching means for switching electrical components consuming the fuel over to an energy saving state.
