PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk guide plate and a mechanism equipped therewith that do not require a user to look into a medium slot provided on a side of a display apparatus to check depth and longitudinal directions thereof. SOLUTION: A guide plate 101 is installed at the rear of the medium slot 102 when the user faces a liquid crystal panel 107 from a direction A. At this time, a rear side in the longitudinal direction 103 of the medium slot is flush with a front plane 108 of the guide plate. The guide plate installed at the rear of the medium slot notifies, when a medium to be inserted by the user from the front collides with the guide plate, the user about a proper position in the depth direction.
