WATER-COOLED JACKET, AND FURNACE BODY COOLING STRUCTURE AND METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-cooled jacket dispensing with the replacement of refractories and the water-cooled jacket over many years, and also to provide a furnace body cooling structure and method using the water-cooled jacket. SOLUTION: The water-cooled jacket 10 is equipped with: a jacket body 20 having a cooling water passage 11 inside; a plurality of cooling protrusions 30 arranged at the jacket body 20 to project toward the inside of a furnace; and cooling fins 34 arranged to connect the adjacent cooling protrusions 30 to each other and formed projecting in a length shorter than the projecting length of the cooling protrusions 30. The space between the cooling protrusions 30 and the cooling fins 34 is filled with the refractories 35, 37 without clearances, and the cooling protrusions 20 and cooling fins 40 themselves are coated with the refractories 37 to cover at least the ends of the cooling protrusions 30.
