PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make further improvement because when focusing on a movement amount of piping, for improving the operation rate of a plant by using acquired data, there is still room for improvement concerning a method of verifying the validity of design values and the components required for achieving the same. SOLUTION: A method of controlling the piping movement amount in the plant includes the steps of: acquiring the piping movement amount during operation of the plant by a movement amount control server; acquiring operation information of the plant when acquiring the piping movement amount, from a plant operation information data base; acquiring design information when acquiring the piping movement amount, from the operation information when acquiring the piping movement amount; and determining the soundness of the piping and a support device from the design information and the piping movement amount when acquiring the piping movement amount.
