PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high quality welding with less spatters by stabilizing formation and separation of droplets in consumable electrode type carbon dioxide pulsed arc welding. SOLUTION: In the carbon dioxide pulsed arc welding method in which welding is performed by repeating, as one pulse period Tpb, a peak period Tp for energizing peak current Ip and a base period Tb for energizing base current Ib, the droplets of desired size are formed at the tip end of a welding wire by vibrating the peak current Ip by amplitude Ws and vibration period Ts during the peak period Tp, and the formed droplets are smoothly transferred to a molten pool by short circuiting transfer during the base period Tb. As a result, the droplets formed during the peak period Tp are short-circuiting-transferred during the base period Tb, materializing a state of one pulse period-one droplet transfer. Accordingly, welding with less spatters is attained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
