The invention relates to electromotively driven wheels, the drive being a wheel-hub drive with all the associated advantages. The aim of the invention is to provide electromotively driven wheels which have sufficient space for the electric motor and can still be small. The base (4) of the rim of the wheel according to the invention is continuously annular and formed from a ferromagnetic material, for example, an iron alloy, preferably a steel. At least one closed annular part of the base of the rim must be formed from said material. At least parts of a wheel disc (3) and optionally also the rim flanges (3.1, 3.2) are formed from a non-ferromagnetic material. Permanent magnets of the electric motor are applied to the rim base area formed from a ferromagnetic material, and arranged in relation to the electric coils.
