<p>Disclosed is a honeycomb filter exhibiting excellent NOx purification efficiency. The honeycomb filter comprises a honeycomb structure, in which a plurality of cells separated by cell walls and sealed at either end are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the structure, and a zeolite which is supported on the cell walls of the honeycomb structure. The filter is characterised in that the amount of zeolite supported on the cell walls is 80-150g/l, that the cell walls of the honeycomb structure have a porosity of 55-65%, an average pore diameter of 15-25µm, and a pore diameter distribution such that the sum of the pore volume (A) of pores having a pore diameter not greater than half of the average pore diameter, and the pore volume (B) of pores having a pore diameter at least double that of the average pore diameter, is 20% or less than the total pore volume (C).</p> |
