<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical code division multiplexing communication system which includes a method and a function of specifying one of a channel and an encoder or decoder in which fluctuation of a code value occurs to return the code value causing the fluctuation to a normal value. <P>SOLUTION: The optical code division multiplexing communication system includes a plurality of encoders for encoding an optical signal, an decoder for decoding the optical signal, a temperature fluctuating part for fluctuating each temperature of the encoder and decoder individually based on a control signal, a power monitor part for generating a first detection signal indicating whether or not the fluctuation of an average power per each unit time of a received optical signal exists, an error monitor part 113 for generating a second detection signal corresponding to each error rate of the received optical signal; and a setting temperature computing part for computing a setting temperature of the encoder or decoder based on the first and second detection signal and supplying it to a temperature detection element as the control signal.
