<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent density measurement performed in the midway of image forming of one processing unit from changing tone of an image. <P>SOLUTION: When the image forming is interrupted and the density is measured in the midway of image forming of one printing job in which monochrome pages and color pages are mixed and before forming of the first color page, the density of the color pages included in the printing job is adjusted using new density adjustment data obtained through the density measurement during interruption, and the density of the monochrome pages included in the printing job is adjusted using old density adjustment data obtained before the density measurement during interruption. Regarding the monochrome pages, the change in tone (density) can be prevented by adjusting the density using the same old density adjustment data before and after the density measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
