<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sublimation type thermal transfer recording medium excellent in preservability at high temperature and high humidity. <P>SOLUTION: The sublimation type thermal transfer recording medium comprises at least a heat resistant resin layer on one side of a base and at least a sublimation thermal transfer layer on the other side of the base, the sublimation thermal transfer layer containing at least a sublimation dye and a binder. The binder forming the sublimation thermal transfer layer is composed chiefly of a polyvinyl acetal, and 80 wt.% or more of the sublimation dye has a water solubility of 1.0 mg/L or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
