PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustable multimode lightfield imaging system. SOLUTION: An optical module 105 forms an optical image 170 of an object 150. The optical image is formed at an optical module image plane 125. The optical module has an aperture 117 and aperture plane 115, and is represented by an aperture stop located together with a single lens element. In a more complex optical module, the aperture and aperture plane need not be located together with any of optical elements in the optical module. A non-homogeneous filter module 110 is positioned at the aperture plane of the lightfield imaging system and provides multimode capability.
