PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem with a conventional flaw detection device constituted on the assumption that the flaw detection of the member to be detected having a definite outer diameter, wherein it can not be confirmed whether flaw detection is normally performed when the flaw detection of a plurality of members to be detected different in outer diameter is performed, thereby lowering the reliability of flaw detection. SOLUTION: The flaw detection device is configured such that a liquid additional supply part 12, which additionally supplies a medium liquid 9 to the upstream side of a scraper 3 to increase the amount of the medium liquid 9 stored on the upstream edge 13 of the scraper 3 so that the reflected wave 11c from the scraper 3 detected by a surface wave flaw detection probe 2 may become large, is provided to the scraper 3.
