PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform work for preparing parameter settings related to an application. SOLUTION: A user uses a select switch 81 to instruct temporary start of an application. For the application to which the temporary start has been instructed, a CPU 10 of a console 1 allocates resources required for signal processing of a DSP section 27 of an engine and a parameter editing function in the console 1. In the DSP section 27, a bypass parameter 93 is set to ON. Thus, settings of various parameters for the application can be received, and at the same time sound signal processing based on a program of the application is not started substantially. In response to instructions of main start of the application using a main start instruction switch 85, the bypass parameter 93 is set to OFF, and sound signal processing based on the application can be started.
