PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate storage tray 30 that facilitates confirmation of a glass substrate 20 stored in each tray from outside the tray, even if the glass substrate storage trays are stacked vertically. SOLUTION: An indicating mechanism for indicating whether the glass substrate 20 is loaded on a substrate supporting portion 3 includes (a) an elevating member 13 and (b) a confirming window 7 provided in a frame portion. The elevating member 13 elevates by springs 6 on a supporting portion 2 and an upper part of the elevating member protrudes from the upper face of the substrate supporting portion 3, and meanwhile, the elevating member lowers by the weight of the loaded glass substrate down to the same face as the upper face of the substrate supporting portion 3. The indicating mechanism (a) indicates an elevating member side face 13C through the confirming window when the glass substrate is loaded, and (b) does not indicate the side face when the glass substrate is not loaded.
