PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow, with less operation, movement of a vehicle by pressing with hands and subsequent prevention of the movement under a condition that an automatic parking function is activated. SOLUTION: A control device of a shift-by-wire type vehicle includes an operation input part 10 operated by a driver when selecting a P range for preventing movement of the vehicle, a N range for allowing movement of the vehicle or a traveling range (D range, R range or B range); and a SBW_C/U (shift-by-wire control unit) 80 controlling an actuator 40 to vary a shift range of the vehicle to the position selected in the operation input part 10, wherein if a predetermined condition including stop of a driving source is satisfied when the P range is not set in the operation input part 10, the SBW_C/U 80 changes the shift range of the vehicle to the P range. The SBW_C/U 80 changes the vehicle to a neutral state when another range than the P range is set in the operation input part 10 and the predetermined condition is satisfied, and changes the same to the P range when the doors of the vehicle are locked.
