PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste of cleaning paper and to secure sufficient cleaning capability, in a cleaning apparatus for a screen mask. SOLUTION: Among a plurality of types of cleaning paper having different widths, the width of cleaning paper to use is selected in accordance with the width of a circuit board or the like for screen printing. A holding member 20 for holding one cleaning member 18 is divided into a plurality of divided members A, B and C. In accordance with the width of the cleaning paper to use, the mounting direction of at least one divided member (A only or both A and B) situated toward the end of a suction groove 12 is changed from the first mounting direction forming the suction groove 12 to a second mounting direction for closing the length portion of the divided member (A only or both A and B) in the suction groove 12.
