PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component with an overtemperature protection function, which provides protection through irreversible insulation depending on heat generation and allows visual check of heat generation, and a printed circuit board on which the electronic component with an overtemperature protection function is mounted. SOLUTION: An element that is a constituent providing a specific function in an electronic circuit and a thermally-expandable member that expands when a predetermined temperature is reached are integrated to form the electronic component. The printed circuit board, on which a predetermined electronic circuit is formed by mounting the element that is a constituent with a specific function on a formed circuit pattern, is configured in such a manner that the element is mounted so that the thermally-expandable member that expands when a predetermined temperature is reached is located between the printed circuit board and the element.
