PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can adjust aγvalue in a fixed range in a short time with a minimum memory capacity with respect toγadjustment of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: With respect toγadjustment of a liquid crystal display device, register groups corresponding to a plurality ofγcurves are determined beforehand and are prepared as parameters. Furthermore, luminances of white, black, and gray of the liquid crystal display device are measured, and aγvalue is calculated from the luminances. A parameter of aγcurve corresponding to thisγvalue is determined, and a value of a register group forγadjustment, which corresponding to the parameter, is set, and thus theγvalue of the liquid crystal display device is adjusted.
