PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a device to be measured, on the occasion of probing. SOLUTION: A signal acquisition system includes a signal acquisition probe 105 having a probe-chip circuit 206 connected to a resistive-center-conductor signal cable 202. The resistive-center-conductor signal cable 202 of the signal acquisition probe 105 is connected to a compensation system 225 provided in a signal processor, through an input node and an input circuit in the signal processor 115. The signal acquisition probe 105 and the signal processor 115 have mismatched time constants at the input node 204, with the compensation system 225 having a compensation digital filter 256 and an input amplifier circuit 232 provided with a feedback-loop circuit 240, providing pole-zero pairs for maintaining flatness over the frequency bandwidth of the signal acquisition system 115.
