PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid rheology modifier which has viscosity good in handleability when used as it is, which can keep modification effects such as a thickening effect in a wide temperature range of low temperature to high temperature when added to slurry or the like, which exhibits the excellent thickening effect particularly at high temperature and is in a liquid state of one agent. SOLUTION: The liquid rheology modifier contains a compound (A) selected from cationic surfactants, a compound (B) selected from anionic aromatic compounds, dicarboxylic acids (C) and monocarboxylic acids (D). The liquid rheology modifier contains at least one selected from 4-6C dicarboxylic acids (C1) and at least one selected from 8-10C dicarboxylic acids (C2) as the dicarboxylic acids (C) and has a (C1)/(C2) weight ratio and a (C)/(D) weight ratio which are within specific ranges respectively.
