PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new abietane polymer having high heat-resistance and high moisture and water resistance and producible by using a raw material derived from a rosin available as a natural product; and to provide a composite material containing the polymer. SOLUTION: There are provided the abietane polymer containing a repeating unit having a partial structure expressed by general formula (I) and the composite material containing the abietane polymer.
